Beach Worship and Bible Study: Celebrating Our 14th Year
Beginning Wednesday, July 2, we will begin our 14th year of weekly worship and study on the boardwalk at Sunken Meadow, a state park beach on the beautiful north shore of Long Island. This year we'll explore eight faith traditions and their Biblical basis, comparing the Christian family to our own extended families. In an age of diversity and variety in churches, can we see how each denomination has a unique, valuable perspective to offer the Christian faith?
July 2 Eastern Orthodox
July 9 Roman Catholics July 16 Lutherans |
July 23 Presbyterians
July 30 Anglicans/Episcopalians Aug 6 Baptists |

Led by Pastors Brandt, Schenkel, and Schoepflin of the Western Suffolk Conference in the Metropolitan New York Synod we'll gather at the boardwalk pavilion for worship and prayer, Bible study and conversation. Attendees come from many churches on Long Island--some new, some have been coming for 14 years.
